I know her personal life was a mess, that she married the wrong man, and that drugs destroyed her voice and career. But there's no denying that she had a great voice and singing ability that could inspire. The same can be said of Michael Jackson. Why do these great talents die so young? I guess her songs reminded me a lot of random times growing up. Her version of the National Anthem is probably my favorite of all time.
