Hanzi and Kanji

Greetings:

Would it be easier to learn traditional characters first and then Japanese characters or to learn simplified characters first and then Japanese characters?

It doesn't make much of a difference. However, it seems that there is much more material available for learning Japanese. You'll need it, with all the pronunciations to memorize.

I thought this post was going to be about the annoying habit that many westerners have of referring to Chinese characters in general as "Kanji".

Such people need a good slap!
