lonny tao Posted April 7, 2012 at 02:45 PM Report Posted April 7, 2012 at 02:45 PM I have a Chinese made sword. There are Chinese characters on it, I think the fabric, or makers name. Anyone can help me to translate? I like to know what these characters say. Better photo`s of this are not possible with my camera. Lonny Quote
外国赤佬 Posted April 7, 2012 at 03:34 PM Report Posted April 7, 2012 at 03:34 PM 光廣作 利姓 佐州住 This is a Japanese sword. Made by Mitsuhiro (光廣), family name 利 (probably read Kaga or Toshi), from Sashuu (佐州, also known as 佐渡国). 1 Quote
lonny tao Posted April 7, 2012 at 07:49 PM Author Report Posted April 7, 2012 at 07:49 PM The person that sold me this sword, long time ago, was someone that was doing sword fight. He had different new swords like this and he said to me: I let these swords make in China. They are made for sword fighting. So al those years I was thinking it is a Chinese sword, because they told me so. But that is not correct at all, because its from Japan. So why is that person say to me I let these swords make in china? Strange, but whatever, now I know the makers name, I am verry happy. I am going to search on the internet for more information about this Mitsuhiro. Thanks. Lonny. Quote
