Calligraphy mounted as scroll-can someone translate for me?

It says 輔佐商場 生財有道 流通經濟 獲利無涯 (praise for a prosperous business/good management and good wishes for profits)

It was a gift from a 陳辰鐘 in Taipei . It was written by 紫陽 in the summer of the year of 丁巳 (1917 or 1977).

PS - the scroll was originally meant for a company director called 神谷修.

Hello. I have a similar scroll that I have no idea what it says.  My father had trouble getting it translated as well.

His notes say that is was written in Lishu by Chen Jiagan Master Calligrapher.

The document is on bamboo paper on silk 18" w x 6' long

Does anyone know what it says?

I hope the file size is OK. The forum limited my upload size.

Paul

That is a Song Dynasty poem called Pusaman (菩薩蠻) written by Chen Ke (陳克).  This type of poem is called "Ci" (lyrics) and could be sung to a tune.  You can find numerous poems of the same title written by hundreds of poets.  This partcular one goes -

綠蕪牆繞青苔院,
中庭日淡芭蕉捲。
蝴蝶上階飛,
烘簾自在垂。

玉鉤雙語燕,
寶甃楊花轉。
幾處簸錢聲,
綠窗春睡輕。

The calligraphy style used is called 隸書 (the Li style/ Lishu).  The name of the person who wrote the scroll is 陳嘉淦 (Chen Jiagan).  The scroll was written in mid-summer of 己巳年 (Jisi year, i.e.1989 or 1929 or earlier; 60-year cycle) when Chen was 73 years old.

The above is the information in the scroll.
