Working in China

Recommended Posts

A friend of mine is living and working in China, and summarizing her exasperations in this blog. I think it's quite funny.

Though I never had any experience working in a Chinese owned company, surrounded by Chinese people only, I imagine it must be quite hard, to say the least.

I don't know, what do other people think? I find it hard to quit the comfort of a well-paid, well-managed English teaching job. But then again, it does get boring...

Is anyone here working in Shanghai? How's that going for you?

Me, I've been teaching English for a couple of years, I like the hours and it gets paid ok. I also have the background and the experience from my own country, and have always done a lot of teaching, so it's not that bad (until you have to teach a group of 4-years olds, with half of the class crying for their mammas).
