civic94 Posted August 15, 2013 at 11:37 AM Report Share Posted August 15, 2013 at 11:37 AM I have watched it years ago, when i dont know any mandarin. i want to watch it again and see how much i can understand. i think it was a famous movie, but the plot was 3 guys from the villages that are poor, and they dream of moving to shanghai and getting rich. in the movie, shanghai was still very old looking and no skyscrapers. anyways they went to shanghai, worked low end jobs (waiter), and 1 of them turned bad because the money is little and no respect from society, worked for a mafia boss, and killed people for money. he then lures the other 2 into trouble and i think in the end the bad one died, and it was a bad ending. all three guys were in their early to mid twenties.
