Hi all,

I'm interested in bat and coin symbolism used in Chinese art, particularily carvings of small objects such as jade.

I'm wondering if anyone knows when this motif started being used in chinese art and although I know it was used in the 19th century I would like to know how far it goes back in Chinese history..

I look forward to hearing anyones replies.

Many thanks
