About the series: 

Cross the Sea of Eight Immortal's Legend is a TV series produced by Hong Kong's Chinese TV station in 2009.

The series depicts during January 960 – November 963, there's a pestilence in the coasts of East Sea, Han Zhongli and Iron-Crutch Li of the Eight Immortals went to the island in the east of East Sea for gathering medicines in order to help and save the people who're tortured by pestilence, but Prince Flower Dragon, son of the Dragon King of the East Sea, thwarted them, after a warfare, Prince Flower Dragon was injured.

Because of the judgement of the Jade Emperor, Dragon King of the East Sea blockaded East Sea, no matter gods of Heaven or human from Earth, no one but the Eight Immortals were allow to get to the island. The Jade Emperor sent Zhongli and Li to Earth, looked for other six gods who hadn't become immortals yet.

Eh, there's something wrong with my software, there'll should be some notes about the words and some legend and stories, but I have no idea why it hadn't appear in this video, really sorry for that.

BTW, even though this show's kind of based on the Legend of the Eight Immortals, most plots of this series are not sure, eh, what I'm trying to say, after all, it's just a fantasy fiction programme.

Yeah it's pretty fun, and the plot, even though sometimes it's a kind of not so logical, but to some extent, it's better than other fantasy fiction tv series and science fiction tv series in China, the relationship between characters are okay, and the background is not based on history and legend but acceptable for people as a all-new story.

And about legend, the editors did really great, some legend stuff like the Mountain of Nine Suffering was noticed, at first I thought it was just made-up stuff, but after check I realized it's a real thing that exist in the world and legend of Buddhism, really like it.
