Melanie1989 Posted September 4, 2014 at 03:10 PM Author Report Share Posted September 4, 2014 at 03:10 PM @Imron Downloading it to tablet now, thanks for the recommendation. It's free (or appears to be...) on the good reads website. Most impressive! and Fred Dropped Dead.... You're so mean! my favourites are the cockroaches that slowly swagger through the narrow streets of eg. Sheung Wan as if they owned the place. Pedestrians respectfully give way to them. Genuinely, that is bloody hilarious.
Melanie1989 Posted September 4, 2014 at 03:53 PM Author Report Share Posted September 4, 2014 at 03:53 PM Oh for anyone interested in spiders, this video popped up in my youtube feed today http://youtu.be/CBra-1PugCs It's pretty cool actually and very interesting. Of course i managed to only reach about three minutes into the video, right up until they showed the bird eating spider....we had one (a dead one) when we were little and my mom, loving as ever, put it up in the bathroom. It was so hard to use that bathroom. I think my dad had bought it from a novelty shop or something, it was pinned down in a box with a glass front....Bloody horrible. imron Posted September 4, 2014 at 11:11 PM Report Share Posted September 4, 2014 at 11:11 PM Cory Doctorow releases all his novels for free online, under the belief that obscurity is a bigger problem for authors than piracy. He has plenty of other stuff online on the site I linked to above.

imron Posted September 5, 2014 at 01:24 AM Report Share Posted September 5, 2014 at 01:24 AM Some of his stuff is just so-so, but when he's good, he's great. After the Siege, 0wnz0red, When Sysadmins Rule the Earth, and Human Readable are some of my favourites. He has a real knack for writing near-future fiction. Manuel Posted September 13, 2014 at 10:05 PM Report Share Posted September 13, 2014 at 10:05 PM Large insects seem to like warm and humid climate, so the north would be a safe bet. Also avoid living too close to the ground floor.
