Shelley Posted September 19, 2014 at 01:06 PM Report Share Posted September 19, 2014 at 01:06 PM I am aware that posts are auto saved at regular intervals but is there any way to manually save the post?
roddy Posted September 19, 2014 at 01:13 PM Report Share Posted September 19, 2014 at 01:13 PM No. I'd just save to notepad if necessary, or if you want to do a lot of formatting save it as a draft pm.
Lu Posted September 19, 2014 at 01:15 PM Report Share Posted September 19, 2014 at 01:15 PM Control-A Control-C. And then, if you loose the post, Control-V. There may be more sophisticated ways, but this is what I use if I'm worried that the computer will eat my post. And it works everyhere, not just on this site! Shelley Posted September 19, 2014 at 01:50 PM Author Report Share Posted September 19, 2014 at 01:50 PM ok thank you roddy. lu I will give that a try next time. it usually happens because I want to go and check something some where else on the forum and then it loses my post. I usually get back some of it because of auto save but I thought if I could just force a save i could go away from my post with out worrying. oceancalligraphy Posted September 20, 2014 at 12:44 AM Report Share Posted September 20, 2014 at 12:44 AM I've found it can be easier to write in notepad first, then paste. It also helps in consistent formatting in cases where I'm cutting and pasting from other places.
