february6 Posted October 1, 2014 at 09:42 PM Report Share Posted October 1, 2014 at 09:42 PM Hello, I am very new here. I'd like to PM a member as I was interested by his/her post, Is there any rule regarding after how long I can PM ? Also, I can't find how to PM on this site, can anyone help on this if it is not forbidden. Thanks.
Shelley Posted October 2, 2014 at 10:14 AM Report Share Posted October 2, 2014 at 10:14 AM You can not PM until you have made a certain amount of posts. If you click on the person's name you will get their profile, then there is a button marked send a message. But if either of you have not made enough posts you will not be able to. Why not say it in the topic in which it was posted, if you are interested in the post. PMs are not really for just commenting.
roddy Posted October 2, 2014 at 10:20 AM Report Share Posted October 2, 2014 at 10:20 AM You get PM access automatically after five posts*, or an admin member can do it on request. But it's likely we'd ask you to post in the topic, or start a new one, in most cases, as any questions you have are probably of interest to other users. You'll be able to use the PM system now, but if it's possible to post in public, please do so. *stops new members sending spam by PM, which does happen occasionally. february6 Posted October 2, 2014 at 08:34 PM Author Report Share Posted October 2, 2014 at 08:34 PM Thanks for the reply. When I sign in today, I noticed I have a new Messenger button and I can actually click on member's name for messaging. Thanks a lot.
