  • Why you should look around

Since 2003, Chinese-forums.com has been helping people learn Chinese faster and get to China sooner. Our members can recommend beginner textbooks, help you out with obscure classical vocabulary, and tell you where to get the best street food in Xi'an. And we're friendly about it too.

Have a look at what's going on, or search for something specific. We hope you'll join us.

Cheese

Despite the revolting blue(berry) "cheese" mentioned a couple of posts ago, I can get a few real cheeses here in sunny Guangxi.

Here is a selection:

On the left we have Maasdam from Holland, then a Red Cheddar from the USA, Italian Grana Padano and a Danish Brie.

We also have regular supplies of:

Swiss Emmentaler

The red cheddar was unusual. We more often get regular white New Zealand (Anchor) cheddar.

And we get what Americans seems to think is mozzarella. Not in my book.

It does say 'process cheese' on the front in English to be fair.
