li3wei1 Posted January 8, 2015 at 02:12 PM Report Share Posted January 8, 2015 at 02:12 PM Forgive me if this is the wrong forum, couldn't find a better one. I'm trying to open an Alipay account, so that I can collect payment for people I'm tutoring over the internet. I'm in the UK. I might also find it useful for buying books from Chinese publishers. You can register with your mobile number or your email address. If I try my mobile, it just says it's wrong. I've tried various permutations of 44 (UK country code), 00, and my number. If I try to use my email address it asks for my mobile number, and insists that it is a China mainland number. Is there a way around this? Thanks
gato Posted January 8, 2015 at 02:27 PM Report Share Posted January 8, 2015 at 02:27 PM How about opening a 微信 account and using 微信钱包? You can use a non-China phone number to set up the account.
