li3wei1 440
Forgive me if this is the wrong forum, couldn't find a better one. I'm trying to open an Alipay account, so that I can collect payment for people I'm tutoring over the internet. I'm in the UK. I might also find it useful for buying books from Chinese publishers. You can register with your mobile number or your email address. If I try my mobile, it just says it's wrong. I've tried various permutations of 44 (UK country code), 00, and my number. If I try to use my email address it asks for my mobile number, and insists that it is a China mainland number. Is there a way around this? Thanks
gato 919
How about opening a 微信 account and using 微信钱包? You can use a non-China phone number to set up the account.
trisha2766 29
Were you able to get your Alipay account opened?
li3wei1 440
No. Haven't tried 微信钱包 yet either, couldn't find any information on it, such as fees.
