I don't think it's reasonable to expect a Chinese-English dictionary to also be an English-English dictionary for uncommon words.

 

I agree, and I don't believe I suggested otherwise. The definitions are very academic and often use rare words. I merely pointed that out, which might be useful to people thinking of purchasing it.
