I found this on the embassy website: http://www.chinese-embassy.org.uk/eng/visa/notice/t1330627.htm and noticed that they were offering 5/10 year visas for eligible citizens. No, but the announcements re the new 2 year visas indicated plans to shift to 5/10 year ones. (USA has had these for a while, Israel - of all places - just got them.)
