UK 5/10 Year Multi-Visa?

So I've been reading up on the new visa rules for UK Citizens, and found a lot about the 2 year visas.

I found this on the embassy website: http://www.chinese-embassy.org.uk/eng/visa/notice/t1330627.htm and noticed that they were offering 5/10 year visas for eligible citizens.  Has anyone managed to get one, or find out what it takes to be "eligible"?

No, but the announcements re the new 2 year visas indicated plans to shift to 5/10 year ones. (USA has had these for a while, Israel - of all places - just got them.)

So depending on the timing & your plans you might be able to get one without eligibility worries :)
