Hi

I am going to China in 3 weeks and I was wondering how much a tourist Visa is from the UK?  I went to China in April and I paid £180 for a 3 month Visa and have been told that I paid too much.  Does anyone know if this is the case?

Many thanks

Here Is the pdf for visa fee's from the Embassy .

If you have a UK passport and got the visa in April you will have been given a two year multi entry as this is all they do now.

If you have a different passport then the above will tell you what it cost direct from the VISA centre.

That's great thanks.  Do I have to let them know that I will be coming back to China in a few weeks?  When I was completing the documentation in March I had to advise of my itinerary.

Hi

No need to tell them. Look at your VISA . See link that explains what it all means. the main thing you need to check is "enter before " this will show its a two year VISA or not. and "entries " which should say multi.

http://www.visaforchina.org/LON_EN/generalinformation/visaknowledge/263878.shtml

If it is a two year multi entry you can come and go as you please as long as you do not stay longer than the number of days shown in "duration of each stay".

hope that helps

regards

I found the visa centre in London awful.

Agreed but I've been advised that for some classes of visa (eg X) going through an agent can reduce your chances. (I guess maybe if that agent has submitted problematic applications in the past)

I found the visa centre in London extremely extremely helpful, taking time to talk me through exactly what hoops I needed to jump through to get the visa I needed, despite some potential problems with my application.
