What is the difference between 發音 and 讀法 ?

It seems that the internet translation gives the same meaning "pronunciation".

 發音 - litterly "emit sound", it's about how do you pronounce words while speaking, your accent, its precision.

讀法 - the way you must read a character. As charaters are only written signs, they do not indicate pronounciation, so you must learn separately how to read them. Now it's usually indicated by pinyin.

發音

When you learn a foreign language, you must leran to pronounce correctly, so you do 發音練習 - pronounciation drill. 

如果你的發音不準別人聽不懂你説的話。 - If your pronounciation is not correct others don't understand what you are saying.

So - 注意你的發音! - mind your pronounciation!

 

讀法

If you see a chinese character and don't know how to read it, you can ask: 這個字怎麼讀？- How do you read this character?

有些字有兩種讀法。- Some character have two readings. For ex. 仇 : Qiú - a surname, and chóu - hatred. 

日本人用漢字，但是讀法不一樣。- The japanese use chinese characters, but read them differently.
