Hi everyone,

 

I'm happy to share a recent project that you'll hopefully find useful: it's HanziLookupJS, a free and open-source Chinese handwriting recognizer in Javascript. It's a component that you can use if you build a website or other software where you need handwriting input - e.g., in a dictionary. If you just want to play around without any coding, the project page links to an online demo.

 

HanziLookupJS builds heavily on previous work by Jordan Kiang for the algorithm and Shaunak Kishore for the character data. Enjoy!
