Hello everyone!

I would like to request if someone could translate the following sentence in Mandarin Chinese:

"What would you like to order, sir?"

It would be very helpful if someone answered quick, as it is needed ASAP.

Thanks in advance! :)

先生,您想点什么菜?

Xiansheng, nin xiang dian shenme cai?

(Assuming he's ordering food in a restaurant.)

Thank you for your quick reply! :)

However, I meant it in a more generic way, "Sir, what would you like to order/buy?"

If you could generalize it, it would be a great help!

Thank you!

Just like English, context matters. You're not going to say the same thing in a jewelry store and at a burger place. And you wouldn't say, "What would you like to order, sir?" in a sporting gear place, would you. It's inapt.

If you want a useful answer, you'll have to give some background.

Let's say you call up a supermarket for grocery delivery. The supermarket assistant picks up the phone, asking "What would you like to order, sir?". How would you say that in Mandarin Chinese?

Thanks again.
