If you are a scholarship winner, you don't have to book accommodation, but if you are a self supported student, it's a very slim chance that you can actually get a room. I've heard that a few minutes after you can start booking accommodation, it's already fully booked. I find the situation somewhat confusing since I am not (yet) a winner, but a nominee. ...since the final announcements have yet to be made. The problem is that the bookings have to be made this week. The website specifically says that my student ID does not exist, not just that I cannot login. Hence my concern. I am a Master candidate in Environmental Science and Engineering (and Management). I have contacted the graduate office and I was told that you don't have to book a room until the results are out. From what I understood, there are rooms reserved for THU CSC nominees. Subsequently, I received the package two day later. So in total 4-5 days delivery time. You should have a tracking code that tells you where the package is. To use your Student ID No. and birth date to log in. Admitted students can check their student No. in our application system. 2. Online application date and time (Beijing Time, GMT+0800): Graduate Students (Masters and Ph.D.): 8:30 AM July 20, 2017 – 8:00 AM July 21, 2017; Since the available rooms are limited, first come, first served. International students sponsored by Chinese government scholarship (full scholarship) do not need to book dormitory room. International students admitted to the joint programs should follow another schedule, which is attached to the admission letter. 3. Use your student ID number and birthdate to log in. The student ID (10 digits) is printed on the left top of your Admission Notice. The birthdate shall be input in the format “yyyy-mm-dd” (e.g., use “1990-07-01” for July 1st, 1990.). 4. A deposit of RMB 500 is required for the reservation. Please prepare a bank card which supports online payment. On the English version of the system, Visa card and MasterCard are accepted; on the Chinese version, only China UnionPay cards (issued by Chinese banks) are accepted. If you fail to pay within 1 hour after your booking, the reservation will be cancelled. 5. With a successful reservation of dormitory, please register at the university on the designated dates, which is indicated on your Admission Notice. The reservation will be cancelled after 3 days delay, and the deposit cannot be refunded. 6. The reserved room is available from August 16th, 2017 for undergraduate students and graduate students. Too early check-in before that time will not be entertained. 7. You need to pay for the room rental of the whole semester (to February 5th, 2018) upon check-in, plus 200 RMB for deposit. The price is listed in the table. 8. If you have any question or problem in booking the room, please send emails to gaopei@tsinghua.edu.cn. Remember to clearly specify your student ID number and your name to make the staff help you more easily and better. 9. The students failing to book the rooms need to arrange off-campus housing by themselves. 10.
