How To Apply for Work Visa?

Recommended Posts

I'm in Hong Kong and will be applying for my work visa next week. What should I bring with me?

Also, is it true that foreigners have to go back to their home country to apply for work visa?

Any offices  more lenient than the other?

Should I bring the authenticated  copy of my degree or would the original degree suffice?

You will need your passport, notification letter, insurance papers (I hear), passport photos and likely photocopies of passport and such. I'm not sure about other documents, but the degree and such were used to get the notification letter.

There's no guarantees on whether or not they'll grant your visa, especially at this sensitive time of the year, they may ask you to go back to your home country. There is only 1 visa office in Hong Kong, everything else is just an agency.
