Hi, i found this private language school

https://www.sinologyinstitute.com/

They have asked me to pay 4500 RMB for a 3 month course and that they will provide documents for X2 visa.

Is this a good price for a language course?

Also they said that I don't have to attend all the classes if I don't want to.

Has anyone had any experience with this school?

Hi Sijazme,

Sounds like a good price. How many classes per week/day?

For Beijing it seems very good and their client list looks great too.

We are in Kunming and we charge 4,000 per semester ( 18 weeks )

which is standard around here. From what I know Beijing can cost 4,500 US dollars for 3 months.

I will ask our students if they have any input on the Sinology institute,

Also don't forget to report back about the school when and if you study there.

Sometimes our students like to study in different cities and it's great to be able to introduce them to good schools

Best of luck with your study

Hi sijazme,

A friend of mine took classes there and she was very satisfied. She and I are both foreigners who live in Beijing. I've also visited the location and I chatted with one of the academic directors about language study, and I was quite impressed with his perspectives on language learning. It seemed a lot better than the stereotype of "rote memorization" education in China. It is located near the 鼓楼 subway station.

That sounds weird. I'd look into that more if I were you. My best guess is that having a Visa requires you to attend X hours of classes per week, and their normal program of study is more than X. But definitely get more info on it.
