2018 CSC Scholarships

Hey everyone !
I have a question for you.

I only applied for the CSC scolarship but I won the university scolarship, so the monthly allowance is less higher...
How is it possible ?

I just make sure someone in this thread have similar situation like this and wondering when the second list will be release by CSC yeah we're in the same boat and I thought next week could be release date for second list or else.

Yeah, they probably have some other lists that they will come out. I remember that when I did my masters, I ended up being on a different list than the one I applied for (they have another one that seems to be just for US citizens). So maybe I will end up being on that list. Not really sure, I'm not really expecting any results, but you never know. Will see what happens this next week.

@maxxence87 maybe the school nominated you for a scholarship and csc didnt award it so the school felt they should give u the university scholarship. Congrats

@maxxence87 according to previous people that have gotten that type of scholarship. 1700yuan is enough to sustain you just that you wont be extravagant 

I believe its better than not getting a scholarship atal

@maxxence87 it's set at 1700 as that's what the university want to pay. As it's not from the CSC and comes from their accounts. It's the basic amount to live.

I found my name in the winner list of CSC Scholarship University program. Winner list was announced on the site of the university. But they have not emailed me. Is it normal?

@Dianasy I have been mailed about two days ago by their international affairs office. Looks like I got the scholarship (CSC-university program) and they wanted me to accept it. They also said that will be sending the admission pack within two days (on Monday, I suppose).

 

Try contacting zhenmeng@gse.upenn.edu for more details (she said they were having issues with their administrative mail).

I have to register the 1st september at the university but it's impossible for me because my internship in my country ends the 28th september...

Happy that I was awarded the scholarship as general scholar to BLCU! Anyone else? Also I'm a little confused - what is the monthly stipend for general scholars and how do you get it? Does your university give it to you monthly? I was reading on a website it is 3000 rmb but I think maybe that info is outdated - is it 1700 now?

May I confirm when you got the feedback on your application?

 

I applied for same and the school contacted by me that they’ve sent my admission docs to CSC. However, I understand CSC and UNESCO still got to make the final selections.

@maxxence87in that case you need to email the admissions or international students team to request late registration. Lectures etc normally start before the end of September though so it might be tough

thanks, mine is not the Great Wall scholarship programme though, I applied through CSC and US embassy. I got the feedback about 2 weeks ago, my admission materials arrived to me by mail.

Can you check your status through their website? Shandong's university website I mean. Because I've applied through it and through CSC but I can't check my shandas account!

The US Consulate said I was accepted and will receive Chinese Government Scholarship, but I never received an admissions notice or visa forms yet -- anyone else have this issue? School has been unresponsive
