somethingfunny Posted August 14, 2018 at 05:41 AM Report Posted August 14, 2018 at 05:41 AM Strength... in what sense? Art... in what sense? Love... in what sense? Games... in what sense? You don't want to get it incorrect, but you're not even sure if you want the English "Games" or "Gamer"... Think long and hard about this. Quote
New Members Cookie_Mad Posted August 14, 2018 at 06:04 AM Author New Members Report Posted August 14, 2018 at 06:04 AM Strength in the sense to stay strong, keep my head up cause of my handicap. Art for my passion, my world and for my artistic side. I love drawing. Love is for the love of my family, my friends and for the life i have been given. Games is what got me through most of my years trying to accept what was wrong with me. (my handicap) That is why i put Gamer down. Hope that helps. Thank you again for the help. Quote
li3wei1 Posted August 14, 2018 at 06:05 AM Report Posted August 14, 2018 at 06:05 AM Have you considered getting it done in Thai? The letters are really beautiful, and if you make a mistake with the translation, there will be a much smaller chance that someone will notice. 1 Quote
Popular Post Lu Posted August 14, 2018 at 08:03 AM Popular Post Report Posted August 14, 2018 at 08:03 AM Chinese characters are not special magic signs, it's just a language, like English. Getting a tattoo in Chinese does not make it more meaningful. Consinder getting this in your own language. That way you can actually read these words that are important and meaningful to you, and the odds of the tattooist getting it wrong without you noticing are much smaller. Better yet: since you are an artist yourself, consider designing an image representing these keywords. 5 Quote
Shelley Posted August 14, 2018 at 09:52 AM Report Posted August 14, 2018 at 09:52 AM Have to agree with @Lu what you will end up with is a list of disassociated words that don't make sense together in Chinese and can't be read by any one from your own language. Especially as this is your first tattoo I would think long and hard about it. Think before you ink and think again and again. It could turn out to be a big disaster if the tattoo artist knows nothing about how to write Chinese characters which need to be written in a certain way to ensure they read correctly. As Lu says use your artistic skills to come up with a meaningful piece of art work that represents all the things you wish to express. Please reconsider. 1 Quote
