Echo Posted November 18, 2018 at 03:41 AM Report Share Posted November 18, 2018 at 03:41 AM My mother has this small statue and wanted to see if it was identifiable. We are sure this piece is not valuable, she just wanted to know more about it. Is this modeled after a certain goddess, saint, or story? Any insight would be helpful. Thank you! Jim Posted November 19, 2018 at 03:26 AM Report Share Posted November 19, 2018 at 03:26 AM I think edelweis is right, the vase she's holding contains the nectar of compassion she pours on the world IIRC, her hands look to be in mudras (sacred gestures) too, would have to look them up to see what they mean but a web search should find them for you.
