I was told that everything will be closed from 4th-12th Feb. And that I need to store food for that amount of time. But then i also heard that the supermarkets will be opened but they will close earlier during these holidays than they normally do. So when exactly will they be opened again? After 12th or are they going to be opened with different timings?

Yeah, Beijing many big ones don’t even close if they’re in a busy area. If they do close it’s just 4th and 5th.

I think there isn’t much need to stock up.

Why not just go walk around and see?

Im past the 5th ring road in Beijing and everyone is open all last few days.  In fact they are pretty full as everyone is buying fish and want it fresh

I'd imagine they would have a sign in the window mentioning opening hours in Qinghuangdao

time.

They have been all this time with slightly different timings i.e. they close earlier at 6 pm.

Thank you everyone! 😊
