Example writing pieces ala Robert Kaplan, “Cultural Thought Patterns in Intercultural Education”

歐博思

Does anyone have some recommended reading on this piece? Trying to find more example articles adhering to each cultural category's preferred style of argument, preferably translated to English.

Particularly interested in knowing a very, very stereotypically Chinese piece.

I think if you want to find actual evidence behind Kaplan's doodles, you'll end up disappointed.

But if you just want to know how certain genres of writing in Chinese are constructed (generally speaking) then I'm afraid most of the resources are going to be in Chinese. And even then, no one agrees with each other. For instance, under this detailed breakdown of the structure of various types of essay, the first comment says, 没啥结构!
