Please Help Me Find this Movie

Recommended Posts

My mum recently passed away and I’ve been desperately searching for a movie we watched when I was little. It was made sometime in the 1990’s (I think mid) and was about a female singer who I believe slowly becomes blind. I remember the singer has a lower voice and I thought it was Anita Mui, but I think i’m Wrong because I can’t find it in any of her discography. I know that’s not a lot to go on but I was really young when we watched this tragic movie and remember bonding with my mum and sisters over it and want to find it for nostalgic purposes. Please help!

It kind of sounds like The Killer, but that’s not really a movie you bond over. Need more detail. Was it a Hong Kong or Taiwanese movie, what are some other plot points, etc.
