Search on Chinese web turns up an article quoting Alison Hargreaves as saying "It is better to live one day as tiger than a thousand years as a sheep" (与其千日为羊,不如一日为虎). Plug that sentence into Google and you get this page from The Oxford Dictionary of Proverbs, which says: Quote Better to live one day as a tiger than a thousand years as a sheep Recorded as the view of Tipu Sahib c 1750–99, sultan of Mysore in India; see quot. 1800. □ ... 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
