Looking for professional Chinese-English translator in Beijing or Shanghai

大家好!

I am looking for a professional Chinese-English translator in Beijing or Shanghai. I know it should be easy, but I live in Germany and haven't been to China for a while and haven't studied much Chinese recently (regrettably), so I am completely out of touch.

  • Good question! 1

Zbigniew

I'm afraid I can't help with finding a translator in Beijing or Shanghai.

Out of interest, is there a reason the translator has to be in China and in one of these two cities?

Hello Zbigniew, there is no particular reason, other than the work I need translations for will be in Shanghai, and I was thinking there should be a few Chinese-English translators in those cities. But it's about translating texts so could be done from anywhere.

I'd be posting the work on one of the major translation portals, Proz.com and similar. You can see people's ratings from past work, identify who's done similar work before, and hopefully find someone suitable. Or you could browse the listings of translators and contact a few likely folk.

Thank you! I'm glad I asked here, I was so out of touch I didn't know about that portal.
