Learn Chinese in China

  • Why you should look around

Since 2003, Chinese-forums.com has been helping people learn Chinese faster and get to China sooner. Our members can recommend beginner textbooks, help you out with obscure classical vocabulary, and tell you where to get the best street food in Xi'an. And we're friendly about it too.

Have a look at what's going on, or search for something specific. We hope you'll join us.

For beers .... Go to Jing A / 京A. It’s near the Chun Xiu Lu. Kind of between Sanlitun and Dongzhimen.

They have decent food as well.

Otherwise in SLT itself there is Slowboat but the service has always been horrific when I’ve been.

Apart from brewpubs (such as the above) in SLT proper you could check out The Local.

Weeknights are tough for me because i live quite far out.

Thanks for the recommendation @ChTTay ... is this location on Google maps correct?

If so it's only a stone's throw from the GLB that closed down.  Wish I'd known!

Yeah that’s a better reference point.

Just near the old GLB

JingA also have really nice t-shirts and hoodies if you’re looking for gifts that aren’t tourist crap.
