Help with 像 grammar

Hello,

 

I'm trying to understand other ways to use 像 grammar.  I only found 1 way on Wiki grammar.  However, when I practice reading I will see it used in other ways.

 

像。。。一样。。。Seems like

 

Also, I seen and what would it mean?

像。。。一般。。。

 

Are there other ways 像 can be use?

一般 is just another way of saying 一样: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/一般#Adverb

There's also 像 [something or other] 似的, as if, and you can omit the 似的. Found this example online: 李丽不镇定了，整个人像被雷劈了似的。

一般 can also mean "ordinary" or "so-so"... could you post your example?

I suppose you could also have 

 

他像他爸一样

or 

他跟/和他爸很像

... to mean he is like his father (in appearance, character, personality, temperament etc)

Also it seems to me that in speaking and casual wechat chitchat, most people leave out the 一样 part

 

I think as an adverb you can 明天像要下雨 but his is more 好像  (it seems like it will rain tomorrow)

 

Finally don't get confused by 我不像一般的中国男人那样， 喜欢 。。。。 I'm not like your normal Chinese guy (像一般 not a pattern here  )
