I read the document releasing Wuhan from lockdown yesterday. Saw the phrase in this sentence:

been a while since we did some posting here. I've just been reading about the official position on '灭活疫苗' and was trying to figure out what this was in English (I don't have a background in science) - is 'inactivated vaccine' correct? Does that mean anything?

 

edit: apparently it's 'deactivated vaccine' and I've been living under a rock, because it seems to be common knowledge these days ?
