Polyhistor 20 Report post Posted September 22, 2020 Anybody aware of any non-Chinese Asian literature available in Chinese? I've got a bunch of Japanese samurai novels and the Tibetan 格萨尔王 and a Vietnamese history written in 1400 in Chinese. But I would rather be interested in seeing Korean literature, Thai, or anything else, really. I've searched without success, though. Japanese literature seems to have a respectable history in Chinese translation, but the people I've spoken with have never even seen Korean literature in Chinese, much less Thai or Indian or Mongolian. feihong 571 Report post Posted September 22, 2020 There are a massive number of works translated from Korean to Chinese: https://book.douban.com/tag/韩国文学 There are also many Korean webtoons that have been translated into Chinese, if you’re into that sort of thing. PerpetualChange 238 Report post Posted September 22, 2020 I don't know much about contemporary Korean literature but much of the classical literature that you seem to be looking for from Korea would have largely been written in classical Chinese characters.
