roddy 5,435 Report post Posted September 28, 2020 Apparently Oxford are taking steps to anonymise some academic work, on the basis that if you're a mainland or Hong Kong student, it could get you in trouble. Anyone else aware of similar moves? EDIT: such as: Quote The decision in Oxford follows similar moves by elite US colleges. At Princeton University students in a Chinese politics class will use codes instead of names on their work, and Harvard Business School may excuse students from discussing politically sensitive topics if they are worried about the risks, the Wall Street Journal reported last month.
Moshen 111 Report post Posted September 28, 2020 Wow, that is disturbing that universities have to deal with this... and reassuring that they are coming up with measures to keep students safe and education alive.

Serg 4 Report post Posted September 30, 2020 Oh, really good, but still no protection for students and academics that are facing discrimination and prosecution for being Chinese, nor condemnation about the insane amount of human rights violations of the West and the US. Remember guys, Hong Kong protests good, US protest bad! The West is not biased at all! To sum up: another move to spread propaganda. Now because it's anonymous, you don't even need to be Chinese to do it. The perfect opportunity for more white Anglo imperialist to spread lies and do "yellow face". Not like it's the first time.: https/thegrayzone.com/2020/08/08/hong-kong-western-media-yellowfacing-amnesty/
