Although it seems you can't have English and Chinese subtitles on at the same time. Are there any other websites that don't require a subscription? I don't think watching with English subtitles helps alot with learning the language. Then you're better off watching something simpler that you can understand with only Chinese subs in my opinion. MTH123 Posted March 7, 2022 at 06:36 PM Report Share Posted March 7, 2022 at 06:36 PM Viki is the best in almost every way, including the most accurate English subtitles, adding at least a second to every subtitle for more comfortable reading (there’s a study about characters per second behind this), at least one second per subtitle, dark background behind white subtitles, subtitles for music, more dramas to choose from, etc. But, Viki almost never has a complete set of Chinese subtitles, if you're looking for Chinese subtitles. Here are three other websites that have plenty of free Chinese dramas that almost always have Chinese subtitles, as well as English subtitles. https://www.iq.com https://wetv.vip/en/ https://w.mgtv.com I’m not a fan of watching on YouTube, because sound is sometimes lost or out of sync, episodes are sometimes hidden, subtitles sometimes have problems, etc. This is across the board with YouTube channels that show Chinese dramas. Even newer dramas sometimes have problems. Between Viki and the three websites listed above, you may never have to watch anything on YouTube.
