You could avoid that impression by putting some punctuation between each character — typically would be enumeration comma “、” but could substitute for interpunct, fullwidth space, or something more decorative. YMMV but personally I'm not a big fan of the “enumerated list of good qualities” genre of tattoos, could maybe come up with something more special and unique related to those qualities if they have a special meaning to you.
