laurenth Posted March 1, 2023 at 06:19 PM Report Share Posted March 1, 2023 at 06:19 PM Hello, a friend who blindly overestimates my Chinese asked if I could help him decipher a seal character inscription at the bottom of a statue he owns (perhaps an arhat, 阿羅漢). I have zero knowledge of seal script but did my homework and could make out, maybe, three or four of the 9 characters: 1? 2 obviously there's the 門 component, but what's in between the doors? 3 probably 羅 4 羅 again 5 圓 ??? not sure 6 probably 尊 7 there's a 阜 component on the right, a 土 at the bottom and then? 墬? 8 言 on the right? 9 probably 度 Could someone help me for the rest?
