Recommended Posts

florazheng

http://www.chinese-forums.com/index.php?/topic/6392-%e5%9b%9e%e4%b9%a1%e6%97%a5%e8%ae%b0

Roddy

Florazheng,

There are 2 kinds of learners:

1. 学习者:= (genuine) learners

2. 学者: = learners with the practice part (习) missing (ie. reluctant to post in Chinese).

And we've got both varieties on this forum.

Ah, enough of the 伟大领袖, it's getting boring . . .

Seems like there's a fair bit of interest in the 中文角, so I'll set it up shortly and see how it goes. If it doesn't get used, or it's just native Chinese speakers talking to other native Chinese speakers, I'll fold it into Chat and Language Exchange. There are many more members than last time it was tried, and it'll overcome the problem of the chat room - which was that nobody was ever in there at the same time.

I'm not sure how successful it'll be - there's nothing stopping anyone posting Chinese in Chat and Language exchange, but people rarely do - but it's worth trying.
