Haoqide Posted January 17, 2004 at 11:53 PM Report Share Posted January 17, 2004 at 11:53 PM You should look into Jin Shan Ci Ba...aka Power Word aka XDict...I like it...it doesn't do a full translation, but it allows you to hover characters and groups of characters with your mouse pointer, and it gives you their meaning in English...it also pops up a speaker that allows you to hear them pronounced...hope this helps. Nothing man-made is perfect, inclucing Jin Shan Ci Ba. There are some phrases in Chinese and in English that just don't translate well to the other language...so you run into a lot of strangeness...but, if you're just trying to get the sense of the sentence, it's a pretty decent piece of software...usually...
