intensive mandarin in shanghai- where do I start?

Hi, I am looking to spend around a month-2months in shanghai learning mandarin (intensive classes)

I want to look for a Uni place- but where do I start? Also, a little anxious about things to do outside of classes- looking for somewhere with a good range of activities and the opporunity to meets lots of people (chinese and foreign students).

Of course, the most important thing is to get to a certain standard of mandarin!
