I am a mechanical engineer and lifelong programmer.

Did anything happen to change its status or did it just start working one day? Chinesecomputing.com has been blocked in China before and I have no idea why.

If you're using a shared server, it could be because another site on the server was the intended target. Asking to be moved to another server could help.
