roddy Posted February 4, 2004 at 03:55 PM Report Share Posted February 4, 2004 at 03:55 PM The internet doesn't get any less strange. The above message does however include examples of the rarely seen (by me anyway) character made up of 女 and 尔 for 'you' used to refer to a female. Best of luck Dick, Roddy
Quest Posted February 4, 2004 at 11:09 PM Report Share Posted February 4, 2004 at 11:09 PM 妳 is used often in the traditional script for feminine "you".
skylee Posted February 4, 2004 at 11:37 PM Report Share Posted February 4, 2004 at 11:37 PM Actually it doesn't have to be 妳 or 她. We can use 你 and 他 to refer to a female.
confucius Posted February 5, 2004 at 03:21 AM Report Share Posted February 5, 2004 at 03:21 AM He blows it at the end and reverts to the traditional "ni" after "panda kiki" Can we start making fun of Dick yet? I'm trying so hard to resist.
Quest Posted February 5, 2004 at 03:32 AM Report Share Posted February 5, 2004 at 03:32 AM He could just ask us directly if any of us knows that girl, instead he wrote us a love letter/declaration. Too bad he's not a female or I would appreciate the letter more.

smithsgj Posted February 27, 2004 at 05:41 AM Report Share Posted February 27, 2004 at 05:41 AM But Dickyoo, dear (had to suppress a smirk there), it's not really your name is it?
Lu Posted March 4, 2004 at 04:21 PM Report Share Posted March 4, 2004 at 04:21 PM (...)The above message does however include examples of the rarely seen (by me anyway) character made up of 女 and 尔 for 'you' used to refer to a female. I saw it all the time in the subtitles of songs, on Channel V.And although strictly spoken you can use 他 for a female, I do think it looks a bit strange. Quest Posted March 20, 2004 at 06:02 PM Report Share Posted March 20, 2004 at 06:02 PM
