I am doing a master degree research about foreign language teaching methods in China and cultural problems between Chinese students and their foreign teachers. I was wondering if anyone of the foreign teachers in this forum could give me a hand and share his/her experience. I am interested in: - "cultural problems" during your classes (misunderstanding, ect.) - disparity between your teaching methods and materials and the one students are used to, in particular how do you feel about this difference and how you manage it. - how do you present your own culture in class, and how do your students react (surprised, interested, bored...) Thank you so much to everyone who would contribute to my research.. by the way, I think it is important to share our experience, isn't it?
