Wudaokou - the 360° Virtual Reality Tour

Had 15 minutes to kill at Wudaokou this evening, so here it is. Just look from one to the other really quickly and it's like you're really there.

Almost useless, but might save someone five seconds of disorientation on arrival.

Here's the map. North is at the top, BLCU at the east (right).

Our first two images are of al fresco dining, just to the east of the station on the north side of the road.

3 Is looking south-west from the subway station onto the north-east corner of Huaqing Jiayuan. There's a bookshop and the cafe Lush under that yellow sign.

4. Looking south from the same location. Whole load of places on this strip, notably Propoganda, Sculpting in Time, Cava.

5. Looking north-west at KFC. Bunch of places in that building I've never been to.

6. The station from the west. Keep going under the bridge and you get to BLCU shortly.

7. View west - keep going to hit Beida. There's the CRC supermarket under Huaqing Jiayuan just up ahead.

8. Looking north-north-west - That's Diqiucun / Global Village.

9. The inside of the station, in case you don't know what a train station looks like.

9b. The inside of a train. Took me ages to persuade everyone to move down to the next carriage.

regarding Wudaokou - hua qing jia yuan, do you recommend living there?

I'll be attending Beida this Sept. for 2 years and trying to gather some needed information before I pull the trigger on where to live.

I know location (next to subway station) and ammendities are great. But what about other conditions such as: noise (seems to be right next to an always packed and congested street) and safety.

You seem to be familiar with this location and the man to ask. Any feedback would be appreciated.

CHEERS:)
