Cheapest Air Tickets

Where do you get them? What's the cheapest you can get from USA to China? I heard of some with only a 3 figure price. Anyone know?

Also, as an American would you be able to get a 90 day L visa to China and if you want to change visa type once you're there, say if you got a job, would you be able to get the visa to go with a one-way ticket, since you are unsure of when you'll come back? Hopefully someone who has done this before or knows can answer.

The cheapest I have found are usually Northwest and Airchina - or is it China air? Not the one from Taiwan but the one from mainland. I usually get a round trip ticket with 1 year open return for about US$700. I seldom find a ticket this chip from internet search engines. I usually call travel agents and tell them that I am a teacher - they often offer this ticket for students as well. I would give you the name of the travel agent that I normally use but she retired

The cheap tickets are almost always in and out of Beijing, shanghai, GZ

Good, I'll be going to GZ. I found some cheap tickets online actually, now. Just looking around.

Does anyone know about the visa question? Or maybe that was the answer. Get a one year open ticket and renew the visa when I need. Maybe they'd still give it to me to begin with if I have an open ticket. I guess if no one else knows, there is only one way to find out...
