Der Traum der Roten Kammer

OT Honglou meng EZ Mitte des 18. JahrhundertsOA 1791 DE 1932 Form Roman

Jahrhundert beschreibt.

Here is a thread on the same book.

I must confess my ignorance of the German language. I suspect I am the only one on this forum who is not able to read, write and speak in German. But I imagine the fellows here are fairly comfortable in communicating in English and Chinese (traditional and simplified). Besides showing off, I cannot imagine why we need to communicate in German on this forum (it could't be a keyboard problem, could it?).

Just my humble opinions.

Where were we b4 Babelfish?:

The dream of the red chamber OT Honglou mix EZ in the middle 18. JahrhundertsOA 1791 DE 1932 form novel the novel of Cao Xueqin draws a multicolored mosaic of the society in old China on the basis over 400 shapes. The atmosphere of romantic nostalgia as a harbinger of the purge of a large civilization, noticeable in it, contains at the same time criticism at the corruption of the dominant layer. The work offers realistic, differentiated character representations, in particular subtle Frauenportraets. Emergence: The unfinished novel (80 chapters) circulated in handwriting, to it by Gao E (also Gao Ngo, 1740?1815) after drafts of the author with 40 further chapters was locked. These 120 chapters comprehensive version success had at the Chinese public and is appropriate also for the German translation to reason. Contents: The dream of the red chamber contains characteristics of older Chinese people novels like a pro log or the mixture of Prosa with verses; new is however the existence of a Hauptprotagonisten, with whose history the book begins and ends. A mythisches guidance motive of the novel is the unfulfilled love of the hero Baoyu for its cousin Daiyu. The pro log acts of the inclination between the jewel of the penetrating spirit strength and the plant magenta bead. The stone arrived by a buddhistischen monk and a daoistischen priest into the world of the mortal ones and is aroused in shape of the young Mr. Baoyu in the rich house of the Jia to the life. Magenta bead grows on the banks of the spirit stream and by the stone with sweet rope is fed, until it finally awakes to the life. It is born as Baoyus cousin Daiyu. On the terrestrial level the atmosphere of the two luxurioesen houses of the family Jia and the appropriate garden is described, which deliver the idyllischen framework for a part of the action. One permits to the girls of the house to live in the garden which may itself young Baoyu with them associates. The love between Baoyu and Daiyu is overshadowed by Baoyus simultaneous inclination for another cousin. It is married finally against its will with this cousin, Daiyu dies in the process of the wedding ceremony. Baoyu fulfills its family obligations, withdraws themselves at the end of the world and becomes buddhistischer monk. Effect: The book is considered as masterpiece of the classical Chinese fiction and into numerous languages was translated. Critics are divided opinion over it wherein the main topic of the novel lies: Some see in it a dear novel, other one an education novel or a report over daoistisch buddhistische disenchantment and illuminating, other one again a custom novel, to that the purge of a aristokratischen family in 18. Century describes.
