Hi everyone, I would like to introduce you to my little project that some people may find useful. It is a free website (www.jihanzi.com) with 2 functions: 1. Extracting vocabulary (simplified/traditional) from epub (DRM free), pdf or text files You can also match it against your known words in case you have those at hand, so you can find all unknown words in a text. Further information is frequency of occurrence and where a word first occurs (chapter for epub, page for pdf, relative for plaintext). For convenience I added a filter for minimum amount of occurrence. 2. Recommendation of books based on your known words If you upload your known words, you can again filter for a minimum amount of occurrence and you can download a list of the books ordered by least unknown words to most unknown words. This for now is only matching against 155 books which are all recommendations from this popular thread: https://www.chinese-forums.com/forums/topic/2034-what-are-you-reading/ . I actually found around 350 titles that exist on douban and were mentioned, but I could only find text files for 155 books of those. I am planning to add more books and also movies. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Cheers

Personally I prefer pushing the rice to the side, crack an egg in the wok within that space you’ve made, wait about 10-30 seconds, then put the rice Directly on top of the egg. From there stir vigorously. This way you get some Of the egg coating the rice and some in pieces.

So is the way to make egg fried rice - fry (in fact really scramble) the egg first and then add it to the rice? if so this is a big revelation, no wonder mine is sticky and mushy. I always fried the rice for a bit then added two/three beaten eggs and stirred like crazy. You have fried the egg separately and added it after you fried the rice (with or without the extras), thanks again for opening my eyes to the simple but useful ways to the simple things.

If I realise I’ve got too much stuff (maybe by mistake I chopped and diced too much) then I’ll stir fry that “stuff” and remove half or more entirely. What’s left in the pan I’ll cook using your method above so that it won’t affect the cooking of the rice. Then once the fried rice is done I’ll add all that “stuff” that I made too much of back into the mix. Keep all of it on the heat and mix thoroughly. It’s one way to make sure you don’t waste that extra stuff while also not ruining your fried rice by making it all mushy! Another good write up . Thanks

Depends. Some friends shave their friend's eyebrows off when they are drunk. Encouring the friend to get a 拒绝毒品 tattoo would be consistent with this modus operandi. As it stands, I'm quite hoping his friend will post a picture of the tattoo when it's done.

Incidentally, friends don't let friends get Chinese character tattoos.
